279 Days to go

Categories:Shadow of a Soul:Chapter I

I usually write my posts before going to bed but this time I’m posting quite early in the day.

I’ll be traveling to Istanbul tonight. It’s about 8 hours drive. I’ll probably get up at 4.30 am and be on my way at 5 am. I’ll be staying there for a while. I’ve got loads of planning/packing to do as I don’t want to leave anything critical behind.

In this post, I’ve talked about my bounced email to rockpapershotgun.com. Since Gamespot and 1UP doesn’t seem to give a shit, I hope this email makes it to the folks at Rock Paper Shotgun. They seem to be more indie friendly. But with my luck you never know. Fingers crossed.

Here’s a quote from my latest interview. I want to publicly thank Mike and Slimgames/Indie Garden for interviewing me.

The specs won’t be high. You can get really decent frame rates with a budget graphics card. As a matter of fact, my graphics card is a budget card so I’m pretty much optimizing the game to run on my machine. And considering the game is still 10 months ahead, I don’t think anyone will have any problems running the game.

From a financial point of view, I think the more of a niche game you make, the lower your specs should be. That’s why you don’t see many indie games with the same minimum specs as Crysis 2.

And from a developer’s point of view, I want to reach as many people as possible.

You can check the rest of the interview here.

ps They got my name wrong. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.
